I already shared my little sister's wedding announcements that I designed, and the last week I shared the game we played for my little sister's bachelorette party, so I'm sure you all are curious about her actual wedding now, aren't you. ;)
This is my adorable sister Michaela who got married last month. Also, this is the bouquet I made for her. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little concerned when I saw all the different flowers they wanted me to use, but I really think it all came together nicely.
Here she is coming out of the Los Angeles Temple with her new husband, Wesley, who I'm sure will learn quickly that I share everything on this blog. :)
Their sealing ceremony was that morning in Los Angeles, and then their reception was later in the evening down in Orange County at my parent's house. There were a couple diy projects that I was involved with (For some reason I wasn't entrusted with much for this... they gave some excuse about not wanting me to have to do too much, but I dunno. ;) ), so let's talk about those first and then I'll share some other pictures with you, just for fun.
I made both the cupcake toppers and the favor bag labels (the favors were cookies, simple and delicious, so win/win) out of the same Avery Labels that I talked about in this post. Then, for the cupcake toppers I used my Silhouette Cameo to punch our some scalloped circles out of different shades of blue and aqua cardstock. If you don't have a die cut machine, you could easily make cupcake toppers by just sticking two stickers together back-to-back also!

Instead of a traditional cake, they opted for cupcakes from Bubba Sweets, which I think really turned out to be a big hit. There were mini cupcakes in seven different flavors for guests, and two extra large cupcakes for their cake "cutting", so I made a little paper bunting topper for those, also using my Silhouette machine and it's cut and print feature... which I was having technical difficulties with so it took about three times as long as it should have. Grrr.

And, of course, I already shared the "best day ever" sign I made, which the photographer was able to get much better pictures of.

Lots of other decorations were made by the mother of the groom, who is not only talented in crafty diy, but really sweet and fun too. I love how weddings make your family larger and more awesome! And of course, it couldn't have all come together without the efforts of many: my mom, extended family, the matron of honor... it was definitely a family affair, as big events should be! :)
Here are some other pictures that I loved!

By the way, all the gorgeous reception pictures were taken by Andrew from Into The Woods Photography. My family and I were so impressed with Andrew and the phenomenal job he did! He was such a joy to be around while he was working, and man, he was EVERYWHERE. Seriously, it seems like he didn't miss a shot of any special moment! If you are in need of a photographer for any type of session and are located in the Southern California/Orange County area, I highly recommend Andrew! I wish we lived closer so he could take some family shots of us!! (And yes, I totally tried to sell him on coming up to Northern California for a "vacation"... aka, please come take some pictures of my family. Shameless, I know.)
