how we wore it // october

Happy Wednesday y'all! Today I have a different type of post than the normal. I'm joining with Brooke from Silver Lining blog and several other lovely ladies for a monthly "How We Wore It" series.
This month's inspiration comes from StyleLovely.com and the first thing that stuck out to me was the monochromatic feel.

I have a blue gingham top, so I went in that direction. Turns out it was easy to do because I happen to be a big fan of blue. There is no way that with my two month postpartum belly I was going to tuck my shirt into my skinny jeans, but I guess I should just be thankful that this trusty pair got me all the way through my pregnancy like a champ. #winning

It was a lot of fun to share something a little different today. Be sure to check out how all the ladies interpreted the inspiration outfit this month!

  7. Yesss!! You look gorgeous Justine! I love the look of a plaid shirt, solid tank, and jeans! I bought my first plaid shirt back in September (black and white), and I've seriously been obsessed! My current profile pics for my site, instagram, fb page, and twitter all feature that shirt lol.

  8. Blue was a good choice! Looks like most of us did black and white but I am totally digging your take on it!

  9. How cute are you?!?!?! I have been in such a monochromatic mood lately. Maybe because it's easy and you can't really go wrong with pairing the same colors together, right? Love that you chose this blue shade.

    1. It's definitely easier when pulling together outfits to stick with one color. :) And I don't have much time for picking out perfect outfits when I barely have time to get my four kids dressed. :D

    1. Jeans are my safety net for sure, unfortunately I think I'm going to have to buy a new pair soon... which I usually hate doing, lol. :)
