summer bucket list update

To say that I feel like I've really dropped the ball on this year's Summer bucket list is an understatement. I mean, we've made a little dent in it, but some of the things that should be a breeze to cross off are still untouched (like building a sandcastle or making s'mores). I guess it will have to be our goal this next week to cross as many things off as possible!

As you can see, we did make our annual trip to a national park already (back in the beginning of June) with a fun trip to Zion National Park.
I love this picture of my little dove and I because the last time I was here (the start of The Narrows hike) I was pregnant with this little man and didn't even know it yet!

We also finally "painted" our shirts (that's what my kids are calling the tie dye, and they had been bugging me for weeks to do it!) which might have been a little ambitious to do with so many little kids, but it was still fun. We invited a couple friends over to tie dye with us and I think everybody had a good time. All of the shirts turned out so cute, and of course I had to make a sleep gown and tiny shirt for little baby sister in mommy's tummy (as she is affectionately known around here).

To make our shirts we used the Tulip brand tie dye kit (similar to this one), and I think it really simplified the process.
My two older kids ask to wear their shirts just about everyday. :)

Lastly, I just want to remind y'all that today is July 31st, which means two things; first, today is the last day to use the code littledove20 on the Timi & Leslie website to receive 20% off your order; and second, I'm now officially on my annual Summer blog break until September! I'll be back in a month with a birth story, a giveaway, and lots of other great stuff; plus more awesome guest posts! If you don't already, be sure to follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook so you can see what exciting things we're up to during the month of August!
Have a great rest of your Summer!

    1. I know, we are really running out of time... sigh. And I know the movie in the park isn't going to happen this year because the last one was this week and we don't go. Oh well, there's always next year!

  12. Omg, I love that printout of the bucket for your bucket list! How cute! Man, tie dye makes me so nervous... I heard that stuff can stain like heck! Okay, I'm still hung up on that bucket printout. I wanna make one for myself! LOL

    1. I was a little nervous about the tie dye too, so I waited for my husband to be home and we did it on the grass, it worked out fine! And the kids loved the end results! :)

  14. You are a good mom. I definitely feel like I dropped the ball this summer. My baby girl was sick the whole summer, which is one month for them and we were homebound the whole time. I need to make a bucket list or have my kids make a list of what they want to do to make up for the fun lost this summer.

  16. I missed your original bucket list post, but seriously, how adorable is it that you mad an actual "bucket" list. LOVE it so much, especially since you can color it and see what you guys have done. Seriously, so cool. Heh, but on that note...we dropped the ball on our activities, too. It's just too hot (and a bunch of other excuses). It's okay, we don't have to do something awesome all the time.

    1. I am so relieved to know I'm not the only mom who dropped the ball this Summer. :D The funny thing, you know our kids don't give a hoot. What's with the mom guilt that we give ourselves?

  17. Seriously that print out is so cute! And they can color it! Did you make it up yourself or did you find it somewhere? I'm thinking we need one for next summer :)

  18. I definitely want to go to Zion National Park someday. Looks beautiful. I've been slacking on my summer bucket list too, but since we both made babies this summer, I think we get a few free passes to cross stuff off ;) Congrats again!

    1. But you did see plenty of glaciers this summer, so that's pretty cool... ;)
The tie dye really was so fun (although also a little nerve-racking with such young ones) and both my older ones still want to wear theirs all. the. time.
