I hadn't planned to share this until after Thanksgiving, but I decided that this holiday weekend I'd focus a little more on my family and a little less on my blog and social media. So I'm going to share this with you now. :)
Today I’ve got two cute DIY ornaments to share
with you, perfect to make if you’re celebrating baby’s first Christmas!
This first ornament is one that anyone can do because it doesn’t take
any special equipment or skills. All you need is a
clear glass ornament (
the
empty ones you can find at any craft store this time of year, I really like the
extra-large ones) and your child’s birth announcement. Ideally you would also have a paper trimmer
(
but if you don't have one you could use scissors) and a pencil or pen.
Just cut the birth announcement into strips and wrap each strip tightly
around a pencil. Then stuff each curled paper through the opening of the ornament.
Super simple, but a sweet, sentimental ornament and a conversation piece!
Just cut out your baby's birth stats and adhere to the front of a clear glass ornament (
I like the flattened round ornament discs for this one). You could finish it off with a baby picture inside of the ornament or leave as is.
