dark chocolate raspberry brownies

Have you heard of candy bar brownies? They really are the easiest, but best tasting brownies you will likely ever make. I discovered them on Tasha's blog, Designer Trapped in a Lawyer's Body, and I am so glad that I somehow stumbled up on them. You can find the pin //here//.

Really, make these and you will have people asking you for the recipe...
You just pour half the batter (made as per instructions on your box mix), line up the candy bars, and pour the rest of the batter on top.
For this version I used a dark chocolate brownie mix and the raspberry filled dark chocolate Ghirardelli squares. It comes in full-sized bars too, but these squares were on sale and the full sized bars are SO expensive.

And I totally agree with Tasha, do NOT overcook (my oven cooks hot so I set the temperature about 10 degrees lower and a few minutes less than the minimum time), and make sure you cool all the way before cutting into them.

SO yum, and SO simple!

  9. Oh wow, adding actual chocolate bars is such a good idea. I can just imagine how good they'd be melted with the brownie!
