dollar store Halloween village

I am currently suffering from a pretty bad cold... I feel like a wuss for saying this about a COLD, but it is really kicking my butt. I'll be back on Friday with another exciting house update for you, but in the mean time, enjoy this cheap Halloween craft that takes no time at all!

I love Halloween and I love the decorations that come along with it. I'm also a big fan of those cute little Halloween villages, but can't really justify spending the money on one (especially since I have an elaborate Christmas one...), so when I saw a tutorial from Desiree over at The 36th Avenue on how to make your own I was intrigued. All it takes are some holiday houses from Dollar Tree and some black spray paint.

While I was in the middle of this project I actually ran out of my black spray paint, so I pulled out my can of oil rubbed bronze to finish it off and I love the hint of metallic shimmer that it gives off. So since I used leftover paint, this project only cost me $3 and I love it!
