a vintage "Alice in Wonderland" themed nursery

I was Skyping with my sister on Monday and she asked when I was going to put my daughter's room up on the blog. Oh yeah, I guess I haven't done that yet, have I? The truth is, I've been waiting because I still have a couple things to hang and pictures to put in frames; but let's be honest, that could take awhile so I might as well share it now.

My daughter's room is basically a mirror image of my son's room as far as the lay out goes, and you can check before pictures of the whole house {here}. You can also check out how her nursery looked in our rental house {here}.
This is my favorite part of her vintage Alice room, her gallery wall. It's very different from how I would normally arrange a gallery wall but I think it's perfect for her room. It makes me think of the scene from Disney's Alice in Wonderland where Alice is falling down the rabbit hole and everything is floating all around her.
It includes lots of touches that hint towards Alice without being too in-your-face. Objects that are in the books and movies such as a door knob (from Hobby Lobby) and a mirror. And of course my Alice dress watercolor is up there as well as my vintage record I found at my local Restore.

The other side of the room still needs some work, the walls are looking at little bare. Speaking of walls, the color is Behr Smoked Oyster color matched to Glidden. It's a really soft and pretty grey tone that in some light looks lavender. In fact, it looks more lavender than I had expected, I'm not sure if that's because I color matched it, or if that's just how it looks in large doses. The stencil that is sporadically placed on the walls is one I bought at Hobby Lobby and the color used for that is leftover paint I had from {this} project.
Still to do:

I found some adorable Alice stuff on Amazon when I was doing a search, I put some of it in my side bar this week and I really want to order some of it! So much fun! :)
