Here's another Christmas present I made last year (wow, it sounds weird to say last year...), a KithchenAid cover for my mother-in-law. (By the way, my apologies for the lighting in these photos, it was so late when I finished it and I had to get it wrapped up right away.) My father-in-law bought her a KichenAid mixer for an early Christmas present and after finding out that it was sitting out on her counter, I decided to make her a cover for it. I used the tutorial {here}, and if you want to see another one with an addition of an outside pocket, you can check it out {here}.
So, fair warning, it is nerve-wrecking picking out fabric for your mother-in-law! I feel like our tastes are pretty different; I know she likes pink and blue, and has a lot of it in her house, so I figured I was safe with those colors but that's really all I had to go on. I walked up and down the fabric aisles I don't even know how many times. It seemed like everything I found in those colors I hated. Finally I found this cute pink and white floral (sorry I don't know what it's called) and a light blue, almost periwinkle color for the reverse side. Phew.
