Saturday Shout Out: once a month mom

This Saturday Shout-Out has to do with the last item that I was able to cross off of my "things to do before baby gets here" list. A couple of months ago I discovered a great website called Once A Month Mom that is all freezer meals. I got really excited because I had been trying to figure out what kinds of things I would make and I wasn't really sure where to start. I highly recommend you check the website out because it is amazing and they do all the work for you! They've customized a spreadsheet so you know exactly how much to make depending on how many people you have to cook for, and they clearly list all the prep and cooking instructions.
I didn't do the whole month worth of planned meals for all three meals of the day, I just picked out 3 dinners that I liked, added 2 of my own, and made 2 of each, for a total of 10 frozen meals. That's about all my small apartment freezer can handle (and yes, I am a little embarrassed about showing off the giant tub of Nestle cookie dough from Costco, but oh well; also, notice how much room is taken up just by ice? That's crazy!).

I especially love the handy-dandy labels that they provide for everything. They even have blank labels if you want to make your own (which I did).

I also stocked up on rolls and frozen veggies so we'd have some easy sides for our entrees. I don't want the hubby to feel like he has to run out to the store every other day during his paternity leave when he could be spending time with our little dove and our little princess.

I usually plan our meals out 1-2 weeks in advance, but after we move this summer, if our freezer has more room I might start following the Once A Month Mom meal plan because it's so nice to know that all that food is in the freezer and the hard part is already done!

By the way, have you entered the giveaway for a sibling shirt yet? You have one week left!
