One of the first things that I did pin was this super sweet Christmas ornament, originally found on From Glitter to Gumdrops. As I explored her blog more I found other things that make me giddy, like her recipe for Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits that my husband will love (they're his favorites). Now, Christy does admit that she originally saw this idea somewhere else so she can't take full credit, but as I was looking around the world wide web I didn't like the other versions I could find quite as much (check some out here and here).
So this is a super easy craft (I use that term loosely here) that needs barely any supplies. The first thing you need to do is locate the wedding announcement (or birth announcement or whatever you're going to be using). Then you cut strips, curl them around a pencil with the words facing out, and stuff them in a glass ball that you can find at your local Hob Lob or Michael's (it looks like Christy used a regular sized ball, but I opted to get the biggest size I could and I really like the half full look). I also thought about putting some flower petals from our wedding in there, or some of the tulle we used, but I'm really liking the look of paper alone so it will probably stay this way. Anyway, Christy offers a more detailed tutorial, but this really is as easy as it looks.
